I'd suggest making the middle effects brief, and the ones on the end more drawn out.
You don't want someone sitting around for five minutes each time they get the 'roll again' function, but you don't want someone to miss the half-second blip of one side of the battle losing 1/2 HP, either.
Or maybe you do, cause you know, sadism.

...I could see it being practical if you have a cave with ice or something, actually. Or terrain that inflicts status conditions. Or terrain that is slower to walk one way then the other way.

post=100606post=100532Given that its polar opposite appears to have been Hate, it would seem to be Love or something similar. Given the politics of Ted Turner, one of the co-creators of the show, it could also be seen as a form of hyper-tolerance. And, given the way it was actually used on the show, it appears to have been nothing more or less than telepathy, although perhaps with a bit of spider-sense thrown in for the ride.

Telepathy is way more useful than elemental control in modern society, though. Mainly because you don't have to reveal your CRAZY SUPER POWERS to use it.
Granted, in a show about fighting villains in a straightforward manner, it may not be that great.
